Harry Mason did a bit of research this morning (finally dug up parts etc)
about the stuff between firewall and glass in Diamond s and here are his
results. It is not asbestos it seems.

I can assure you all the diamonds at Gold Coast (seems a lot) they have
taken the fire proof paint seriously.

Thank's Ian,
I had some of that Fire resistant white stuff from between the firewall and
the fibreglass firewall, it comes as a blanket about 3/16 to 1/4 inch, and
is applied as a sheet and bonded, then the stainless firewall is bonded to
it.
I will see if I can dig out a part number for it.
