Wonder if it still has old aviation plugs and leads. The leads can break down. Run engine at night and you will see the sparks. Also I assume the TRUMA fuel tap has been replaced. They do not lift up enough and can restrict fuel flow to as low as 22lit per hour and full power does not like that. TRUMA tap is red diamond shape on top and goes round and round. The replacement is ball valve and only turns through 90deg.
