Hi All,

I am currently breathing life into an ex Thai H36 S/No 3534 Ex VH-GNW .
I have still a long way to go but the light at the end of the tunnel is
getting brighter.

The engine I will be using is from another wrecked H36. It is a much later
delivered engine (2013) and has a number of real nice features. The main one
being the heads. They are genuine Limbach dual plugs per cyl ones and of
much better design than the standard ones. For example long reach plugs
both top and bottom which also have matching thread depth which includes
factory installed steel inserts. The casting quality is also significantly
better.

This engine was in an Dimona which was wrecked in a storm so some of the
bits around the engine were damaged, but the core engine is just great.

The standard Mag in installed for the top plugs but the bottom ones were
driven by a sensor in the distributor hole and some electronics to make it
all go. The system that was installed has a label that says Aeropower
Engines West Australia. By chance do any of you know about this company
? They have a website but no info on the ignition system I have tried
to call them but no reply or email response.

Or any suggestions re setting up the secondary ignition.

The H36 is very weight conscious so while I am reluctant to add extra
weight, I do think a secondary ignition though would outweigh the
disadvantage (we have had one Mag failure where the Slick condenser shat
itself just after take off)

I must mention the support of Nigel Baker and Rob Thompson in Australia for
both this project and the previous one. (H36 S/no 3537 ZK-GCB which has
just passed 500 hrs in New Zealand since being back in the air)..

Best regards
