What is the current thinking about Hoffmann props. I have 3 now with cracked ferrells (at the base of each blade) Hoffmann have been quite vocal regarding their 6 year calendar life so had them checked for a calendar inspection and a further 6 years but found cracks. One prop was quite bad If interested I can send some photographs. Also another just returned with 2 new BT blades is throwing out grease, not bad but enough to be annoying. The grease plasters the inside of the spinner and leaks out around the back plate. I look after 5 motorgliders and as of now have only 2 props that are serviceable.
