Gentlemen, I was inspecting my aileron drives through the inspection port
and noticed that, over time, the plywood mount that provides a mounting
support for the aileron bellcrank had shrunk in thickness, allowing a
slight bit of play in the bellcrank. When I checked the torque on the three
M10 bolts I found that it was insufficient on two, on both left and right
wings. Tightening the bolts is a bitch, due to the restricted access to the
nylock nuts on the blind side. I had to cut and bend a cheap M10 wrench to
complete the task. No real indication of the problem until I reached in and
wiggled the mount while watching carefully. Probably not too big of a deal.
