In coordination with the Team Leader you will oversee all aspects programmes technical implementation and reporting, including initial assessment of community needs, and all aspects of program development including design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. You will provide leadership, and support, through the 6 Sector Leaders to all programmatic staff and operational aspects of programming in the Save the Children response in Aceh. You will ensure that all aspects of programme development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation are effective and meet the strategic goals and objectives of Save the Children, its donors and the target population and help to ensure documentation and accountability requirements of all donors are being met. In coordination with Deputy Director Field Office for Admin and Finance, you will manage and evaluate operations budgets, project funding, expenditures and meet reporting requirements per donor formats. You will represent Save the Children at the local governmental level, inert-agency forums and interface with other key partners, participate in the recruitment, selection and development of staff. In the absence of the Team Leader, serve as principle Aceh focal point for operational issues between the Jakarta, Medan and other district offices. To be successful in this post - you will have an advanced degree in international development or related field. You'll have minimum of 5 years' management experience including significant experience in management of emergency operations to bring to our programme. Along with excellent written and oral English, Acehenese and/or Bahasa Indonesia language essential. Experience working in a high stress environment and ability to live in conditions of physical hardship will give you an understanding of where we are working in and a familiarity the SHERE guidelines is essential.
