Well, I was able to swing it from one DTD to another in about 15 minutes.  

However, it did take a few code changes.  

I am sure it can be made generic without too much trouble.  I'll have to
give it a bit of thought.

Jim's project idea sounds like a better way to bind Java objects to xml, and
since it uses dom4j, it has to be more efficient.  I've been studying JAXB,
and I'm not sure I like the approach they've taken.

Jim:  will your work be generic enough to warrent inclusion in the dom4j
package??
