This is the dom4j list, not the XML4J list. I think you need to post this
question to IBM's XML4J list instead.
FWIW you might want to find out what doc.getFirstChild() returns - it might
be a Text node or something - maybe whitespace handling changed or
something.

Hi all!
I'm new to the list and don't know if this question already has been
answereed but here goes:
I have the following code:
Element top = (Element)doc.getFirstChild();
This worked fine until I changed to a newer version of XML4J, now i get at
Class Cast Exception.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
