Hm, and the webserver logs don't show anything either? I haven't a
windows server at hand so I can't quickly try it.

Hi Arthur,
Thanks for you quick reply. No, the server smtp logs do not indicate any
activity with the cgi script. Only when sending via the test asp and
asp.net scripts. So I just don't think the stmp is even working in the
3.0 script. :(

Hi John
Did you have a look at whether the script tries to connect to the
mailserver at all? Do the mail server logs indicate any activity? Are
there any messages in the web servers log files?
Good luck
Arthur

Thanks, but that doesn't help at all. I have already done those things.
Is there anyone on this list that might have the script running on
Windows 2003 or 2008?
Thanks again,
John

Hi John,
I've spoken to someone in support and here's the advice they passed on:
I'd make sure he has the OpenSRS.conf file switched to use SMTP
instead of sendmail and then he just fills in his mailserver info
and it should work - assuming the mailserver is accepting the
connection. Have him turn on logging in the mailserver to see if
the connection is hitting it and seeing what happens. maybe he
needs to authorize the connection, etc
I hope this helps!

I have the OpenSRS 3.0 client installed on Windows 2008 server (IIS

Perl 5.8.8. Windows SMTP server is setup on the same machine; I've
tested it
with asp applications and it works just fine.
The OpenSRS script works properly when I comment out all of the
email info;
but when I try to set-up smtp email in the config file, the name
registers
at Tucows as pending, but the script hangs and users never get the
confirmation page and no email is sent.
Has anyone gotten email working on a Windows server? Any ideas
what I needs
to be done.
Thanks,
