The little Candian company that has grown big initially drew me to it's inherent integrity, openness and willingness to take on the big bloat called Network Solutions. This new relationship is a red flag to me concerning the integrity and the direction Tucows is going.
The mention of being compliant with CAN SPAM laws created by the US government to legitimize a company speaks of talk of little substance. It sounds good to the general public and makes the congressman feel like they have done something but for those of use who pay for the bandwidth, servers, the filters and field complaints about spam the only talk I can tolerate is a mailing company with a proven track record and effective double opt system. Remember the values that made Tucows what it was before this announcement, apply those values, tighten up the criteria and locate a different company.
