Ben -- I think he explained it quite well here: > We are focused on on trying to work more closely with our customers that > want assistance from Tucows in improving communication with their > customers (I don't believe our channel is in the business of spamming, and > we have dealt with the exceptions). Selling or distributing a contact > marketing service that can be resold is not what we are thinking about or > focused on. Especisally from the last sentence, it seems this was supposed to be a way that Tucows Resellers could purchase the service at a discount for themselves, as a means of up-selling other serives (IE, tell domain customers about blogware). NOT that we would sell mailing list services. I myself didn't figure this out until I saw the templates mentioned in the web page about the service, and I mean actually pulled up the templates. I think the general impression was this was a new service for resale (WestNet BulkMail, Powered by Tucows, Powered by Constant Contact), which does put Ms. Shields' response in a new light. -Chris ========================================================== Chris Candreva -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- (914) 967-7816 WestNet Internet Services of Westchester http://www.westnet.com/ _______________________________________________ domains-gen mailing list [email protected] http://discuss.tucows.com/mailman/listinfo/domains-gen
