two things. even better than what is suggested below, let it go to  
ICANN completely as a setoff against the fee levied against each  
name. by doing this it would directly reduce, and I believe  
eliminate, the tax charged against each name. and please remember  
that with our new pricing this would not benefit us AT ALL (before we  
are accused of blatant self-interest).

second, please (and this is not directed at you paul, but at this  
discussion in general) do not even include verisign as a possible  
recipient. they have absolutely no claim to the revenue. .com is a  
public good and they are simply a contractor performing a service in  
respect of that good.
