?? wasn't part of the premise of the original auction idea (I'm going back a few years now), that we/you were sharing the revenue from the sale with the original owner? This is a question that's been bugging me for a while and was refreshed recently when we got a $76 credit for auction revenue.
If we can't identify the domain, we can't identify the original owner, so in essence, you're just paying off the RSPs to inspire them to co-operate... sorry to put it in negative terms like that.
