I finally heard from Greg after posting this message. Ken, can you provide to me a high level summary timeline of what happens to a domain name now when it expires. It appears things have changed quite a bit since the time when I was involved in day to day operations. For example, there used to be a redemption period. I'm not sure if that exists anymore or not.
