DOMAIN LISTINGS CENTER

Google broken that end of the net?
Apparently because all a google search yields is blogs about people
bitching about them. No web site listed, no phone, nothing, nada...
Most I found was an outdated fax number that was to some place in NYC.
Last time I visited Yonge St, I was offered drugs by a very polite
and well
spoken drug dealer, I'd trust him more than shady domain offerings
from the
same region.
Figures.
They use to send straight scam emails and postal mail, but now they
twist them
to stay vaguely within the law (maybe). They overcharge for domains,
and send
solicitations that look like renewal notices, and hope your accounts
department is clueless enough to fall for it.
They stay vaguely within Canada's laws, or lack there of, not the US.
We see lots, and I don't think any client of ours has ever been
taken in,
since we've never transfered any domains to them.
Most don't, I agree. However, one of my many past times if phucking
with places like this.
Although one client did admit to buying domains in Hong Kong and
China at the
behest of those unscrupulous marketeers telling people someone will
register
your domain in their TLD if you don't (sigh - Barnum would laugh in
his
grave).
More often than not our clients call us first and ask.
