Well members its about time I updated all of you as to the status of our
3rd Annual Toy Drive for the Children at Stanford Hospital. Your
donations will be given to the patients that must spend the Christmas
holiday in the hospital. This is not a place any of you would want to be
during Christmas....so ill that you cannot leave the care of
professionals. I am hoping that many more of you will think about how
fortunate you are and will donate to this worthy cause. Imagine if
everyone on the list serve gave one item!!! This toy drive would be a
huge success. We do have those individuals who seem to carry the rest of
club and are generous to a fault. God Bless You. Let's try harder to get
into the giving spirit. Thank you.

Sherry ....you are not only an expert shopper but also very thoughtful.
You know about quite time activites not only for kids but things other
familiy members might enjoy. Thanks mucho for your gifts for the kids.
Peter Dubin sent along a very generous donation for the kids at Standord.
Peter...Kirsten Cotten, our contact at Stanford, is thrilled to hear of
your contribution and is battling with herself as to which big ticket item
she wants to spend it on. Many thanks for your generosity.
That brings us up to 204 items. We have only 39 more days before the
delivery to Stanford. I sincerely hope many more boxes will arrive in San
Jose. The elves might become discouraged and we cannot have sad elves at
Christmas. Remember, last year we collected 1024 items. We can beat that
if we decide to give. I know you will make that committment to share your
kindness with others who will need cheering up.
Thanks again to Sherry and Peter for keeping the toy drive alive these
past two weeks. Now let's get to shopping!!!!
Note: please include a packing list of items donated with your name and
address and send to me:
