DOOBS....

An echo to what Chris has to say!

When we started the Toy Drive 3 years ago, the attempt was to better our
efforts, each and every year.

Our first sleigh had a little more than 500 toys that year. Last year you
went way out, and we exceeded 1000. Let's make the 3rd year, and the last
of this century, bigger than the two before.

It's not a lot to ask of, when you have seen the kids at Stanford, or for
that matter, kids anywhere. Let them share in the love and joy that we get
to share.

Hopefully, Chris's next post will be over the top.

Happy Holidays

Doobster

Subject: Fan Club Toy Drive Update

Hello Members,

Here is the latest update of our clubs current event the Toy Drive for
the children who will be hospitalized at Stanford, CA during the Christmas
Holidays. Time is dwindling for those of you who will be participating
this year. You have 19 days to get your gifts for the kids to my home. The
Doobie Elves will deliver your donations to Stanford on Saturday, Dec.
18th. Please make an effort to give something to someone who will always
remember your kindness at a very difficult time in his/her life. As
always, I will post to the club what the contributions consisted of.
However, if you send a check or gift certificate I will not elude to the
amount. A check counts as one item no matter the amount. Also, if you do
not want your gift listed or any recognition, please let me know on your
packing list. This past week 90 items were received. That brings the count
up to 495. Last year we had outstanding participation with 1024 items
received. Our first year we received approximately 600 items. So lets try
a little harder. There is a handful of you that have taken it upon
yourselves to carry the club. Youre wonderful souls but I am hoping more
of you will choose to become part of 3rd Annual Doobie Brothers Fan Club
