Debbie,
What a great vein to hit!! I too am a GitPicker
starting at the age of 7 now 39 Revision 1.
The first rock stuff was Creedence which got a little
boring. I then copied the Humble Pie Live at the
Filmore and Johnny Winter's albums, then on to Eat a
Peach, Allman Bros. and Blue Sky was the Sh&%!. By
this time 14' I was heavily into the Doobies and
playing in a band with older folks into the same
stuff. We even learned the whole Captain and Me
album. As far as my influences go they are the
aforementioned along with;
Chet Atkins, Djavan (Brazil), Elvin Bishop,
Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Les Dudek, Jerry
Miller ( Moby Grape ) Steve Morse.

Tommy Caldwell Billy Jones, Danny Gatton and Roy
Buchannon who all have left us with amazing music.
If there is anything to add is I've learned from
beginners to the seasoned pro. No matter what style
your into there is someone who can add something to
anything. Keep an open mind, hell, there are only
a handful of notes and we can do so much with them.
I'm logging off and getting my axe for some notes!!
Peace,
Scott " I can't beleive it's raining" in Seattle
