I refused to ever buy ANY pre-recorded music on any tape, still do although
I dont listen to anything tape anymore or atleast very seldom. (Reel to
reel once in a great while ) I just rode to the nearest Radio Shack and
bought a blank tape. Then you could get a 60 minute 8-track tape and record
it yourself with no tracks being out of order. I didnt mind an occasional
track change now and then. Besides with a 60 minute tape it usually allowed
you to place another 10-13 minutes of filler for the 4th track.
Yea I too even remember having first played with a 4 track , with that huge
hole on the bottom that picked upevery speck of anything ya dropped near
them. I can mostly remember pulling pull off beer tabs out of that hole.
Thats why we started drinking Mickeys Big Mouth , but that only saved the
tops from getting into the tapes . . . not the beer though. Yep that was
back when men were men and sheep were nervous !
