Right On Brother!

People think I'm nuts for goin' clear across the country to the convention.  They don't understand how I can listen to the Doobs all day at work.  They need to Listen To The Music, as you so aptly out it.

Here in Tidewater, we have a radio desert.  Sorry to bust on The Fox after the two radio auctions they've done for us, but...  They only play Classic Hits, not classic rock, so while they'll tell you that the Doobs have a new album, they won't play anything from it.  They say that's handled by their sister station WNOR.  Well WNOR is so eaten up with Metallica, and Green Day, and Limp Brain Cells, or whatever, that I can't conceive of a classic rocker being able to stand the nausea long enough to find out if they play PGLA.

For those of you who have heard the three new tunes (PGLA, DOn't Be Afraid, and Can't Stand To Lose) think about this.  Here we have on one CD, tunes that could be on the Country (Can't Stand), R&R (PGLA), and Jazz (Don't Be) charts all at the same time.  Let's see one of those droning "My life sucks and I wish we were all dead" bands do that!

Everything you said is absolutely right on my man.  This world doesn't need the next fad in music or performers.  It needs good time tunes, that make you feel good, and make you think a little too.  It needs music to lift you up, and make you happy, not electric funeral durges.  It needs musicians, not pop stars.  And it needs to realize it's really all about the music, not the hype, the glitz, the limos, the mansions, the party life, or any of that stuff.
