FWIW, a coupla thoughts on that from over here in the lurkers' corner, Bill.

First, I read somewhere recently that IMIX is in some sort of partnership
with the parent company of Q104 (to clarify, this is Q104 in NYC, as there
seems to be more than one station calling itself that). Second, I've noticed
that they seem to be playing a lot more Doobies songs lately. I'd be willing
to bet that they're gearing up to promote the new single as one of their
"future classics". Who knows? Maybe there'll even be some ticket giveaways
for the show at the Beacon next month to coincide with the release of the new
CD.

As far as listener requests, I tried going to their website to send them an
e-mail and wound up refusing *fifty-eight* cookies (one for each item that
loaded on the page)!! Sorry, they just don't need to know that much about
me. I don't have a lot of use for Bob Buchmann either...his mouth seems to
be in gear a lot more often than his brain is. Unfortunately, Q104 is the
only likely candidate in all of NYC radio to play the song, so maybe I'll
just drop a note to Maria Melitto. ;-)

Oh well...back to my Milennium playlist. *g*
