Behind the Music

Doobfans -   Not to throw a wet blanket on the VH1 thing, but we should collectively hold our breath and hope the producers choose to focus on the band's music, its fans and the many good things they've done for people everywhere rather than trivial stuff like personality conflicts, turnover, drugs, alcohol, etc. These Behind The Music segments can be long on scandal, short on positive substance. Though some might argue that any publicity is good publicity, that hasn't always been the case with this band - they've been regularly trashed by critics and the establishment for 30 years! Hopefully, this will represent a departure from that. I've always said their music stands up to anyone else's in popular music; VH1 should echo that sentiment.   Ciao -   David
