I wanted to reply and say I agree with you assessment of Mr. Simmons.

I have to admit I'm very fond of all the members of the group. Tom's blues
rock is what caught my attention to begin with. After meeting the guys a
number of times, I've been blown away by the kindness of all the guys
especially Mike Hossack, Patrick and Keith.

For some reason, Patrick was always the one I was drawn to. His ability to
adapt and continue the quality music has always been appreciated. I count my
musical blessings that the group didn't break up when Tom Johnston was sick
or when the Minute by Minute album didn't (at first) live up to their
expectations. I know the day of the farewell concert was a bittersweet day.
It was nice to see them go out on top but heart breaking to see them leave
the music scene.

I'm happy the guys are touring and recording again. Based on their efforts on
Sibling Rivalry, I'd say we can expect many more great things from the
Doobies.
