Dear Fan Friends,
I am Sheri Dawn Rosile, a 45 year old single mother of one
amazing eight year old daughter, Shelby. We live in my home
town of Wichita KS, the air capital of the world. Meaning aircraft
manufacturing. Where I am a mortgage loan officer, but not for
long. I will be returning to a full time basis at my own company,
Bright Ideas, Inc. I have extensive background in real estate
and finance, but am also the creator of a line of infant care
disposable products called Baby Backups.
I have been a Doobie Brother fan since I first
heard them on the radio in 1972. Back in that lifetime I
was very musically and magically inclined on a performance
basis. I was in several bands that included DB tunes in our
songlists, and as a magician my favorite background tune
was Slack Key Soquel Rag. I spent 11 years in Houston
and it was there through a "fan" of mine that I was treated to
backstage passes at the Farewell Tour on my 26th Bday.
I had the pleasure of meeting Pat Simmons and Michael
McDonald that fateful evening, but via friend Mark Drale, a
sound engineer and in later years Tim Lamb a production
manager for the Doobie tours, I was able to get backstage
access to numerous concerts during the Farewell Tour '82,
The Reunion Tour '87, including the Hollywood Bowl NVF
Benefit, the Cycle's Tour in "89 and Brotherhood Tour in '92.
I was at the first Laughlin convention, and feel blessed to have
had the incredible experiences that most fans dream about.
And I love to see newbies to the fanily get to meet and befriend
these tremendous musicians that have filled our lives with the
greatest songs to see us through. They are truly the greatest
and this group is the best of the best and I love to watch it grow.
The next convention I can get to I will catalog all of the original
biographies from the beginning. But these recent "who's who"
stories are truly fantastic to get to know all who have participated.
So come, the rest of you lurkers, come on out of the closet!!!
