This may be an old subject . If it is everyone can just
delete or ignore me .

What was the coolest opening act or double bill you seen
the Doobs do ?

I was too young to see them in the 70's but I imagine there
was some great concerts .
I'd like to hear from some of you who got to see them
in the early and late 70's .

The first I got to see the Doobs was the farewell tour in the
early eighties and there was no opening act .
I wasn't real familiar with Doobie history back then .
I just showed up to hear "China Grove" and "Long Train" .
I was too young to realize that Pat Simmons wasn't the
guy who actually sang those songs on the records.
(Tom who? ) lol

The next time was the "Cycles " tour and I don't remember
who the opening act was .

Then in 94' I saw them do a double bill with Foreigner. I must
say I didn't really care for the doobs lineup at that time .
They seemed to be in limbo at that time .

Then I saw a run of "Casino shows" in AC were there was no opening
act . I think one time there was a comedian as the warm up act.

Then summer 99 was the Doobies/Chicago tour which wasn't bad .
Chicago was cool but the Doobs smoked em with their high energy
set .
After that I again caught a Casino show with no opening act .

So lets hear from some of you "vintage" fans who got to see
some of those great "peace ,love and rock-n-roll " shows from
the 70's .
