My first concert was at the Palladium in NYC, after "Stampede" & before
"Takin it...", 1976...no TJ and this new piano player, Mike McDonald. The
1st act was a guy named Richard T. Bear, who wasn't particularly good, but
real loud! He threw teddy bears to the audience. The Doobies ROCKED!...Lots
of doobies in the audience, too!
The next one was the Cycles tour w/ the Fabulous Thunderbirds. When the
T-Birds opened my wife actually said to me, "These are the Doobie Brothers?"
LOL!!!!
Next was the Brotherhood tour w/ Joe Walsh. The highlight was "Dangerous" as
the 1st song. The reviews dwelled on old washed-up rockers...WRONG!!!
Since then I've seen them with Steve Miller (I agree with the limbo review
for this one in '94), Foreigner, Lynyrd Skynyrd, & two great, but short
Atlantic City shows. A few years ago I thought they should have teamed up
with Hootie & the Blowfish for a Hootie-Doobie tour!

I'm presently trying to put together an ultimate concert tape, combining the
best from the Farewell, Wildlife, & Millennium concerts...but it's not easy!

George, looking forward to another east coast concert!
