Actually, that's what I was going to use for the 7.2->40.  (I've used a
34063 to go up to ~150V or so for nixie tubes, but in my current
project, I have to drive the ringer with an H-bridge that tops out at 40.)

The part I'm really unsure about is the USB->7.2V NiCd charging.
