Ah, you met Jon! Importing a private key isn't too hard. At the bottom of the Piperwallet is a private key QR code that says "spend" beside it and below has the private key (begins with a 5) for your public key (begins with a 1) above.
In bitcoin-qt open the debug window and type, "importprivkey 5...." ( https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_to_import_private_keys), or scan the QR Code from any Bitcoin Wallet for the phone (I use Mycelium). That said, unless there are funds on that wallet which you want to sweep, it isn't necessary as all Bitcoin clients generate a new wallet once they're running (even before the blockchain has synchronized, and it's usable then as well).
