And for people who want to make a stereo/3D project like this, I have a
42" Sceptre 1080 TV that recently went wonky.  It's probably the same
sort of thing: bad caps in the power supply or sth.

It worked fine for years and is in good cosmetic shape, but it's from
the era when the electronics weren't miniaturized, so there's a separate
control box that connects to the panel with 3 giant D connectors.
(OTOH, the control box makes it easier to fix, since I think the panel
is still fine.)

If you'll take this off my hands, my wife will be delighted, and I'll
even pick up Matt Youell's TV and deliver both of 'em to you (in
Portland, at least.)
