Thanks for bringing the early Stenosaurus to dorkbot several weeks ago! It was fun to see the development of that thing, and an open steno movement is certainly inspiring!

Since this came up in the keyboard thread, I thought I'd mention (for Thomas, heh) that the layperson doesn't realize that the steno machine isn't just another keyboard. It's unlikely that a steno system (at least not as it exists today) would be used to efficiently generate keystrokes/scan codes. A steno machine must be combined with pretty sophisticated software, an ever-evoloving dictionary, and LOTS of training/practice to be effective.

I haven't (yet) heard of anybody using/customizing a steno system to write code...tho the idea is fascinating to me.
