I've built a small battery-powered device (3.7V LiFePo, ~120mAH). It charges from USB, mediated by a Microchip charge controller. I'd like to have the design reviewed by some sort of safety agency to make sure I'm not missing something that will be Exhibit 1 in my products-liability trial for burning down somebody's house.
I assume someplace like Underwriter's Labs will do that, for a fee. Is there anybody else? Would somebody who's dealt with this part of product development be willing to discuss with me, so I don't waste the first round of testing by not getting as much info as possible out of it?
