Unfortunately, I think BT throttle torrents. In theory, a typical ISO
shouldn't take more than a few hours, but I've rarely managed better
than 8-10 hours with a torrent. On several occasions, I've had to run
the torrent for several days, just to *get* the download and thenseveral
weeks to reseed it to > 80%.
I gave up using torrents, because I really am not that patient.
Ouch, that really is terrible. Though a good argument for net neutrality,
I'm sure Canonical would like it if we could all burden the bandwidth
load, ISPs not so much.
BTW, BT give me around 6 MB/s on my connection.
Are you meaning 6Mb/s (would often display as ~600KB/s). 6MB/s would be
marketed as 60Mb/s.
At 6MB/s you should have a full DVD .iso in under 10 minutes.
