Why do you say 'a no goer'? OK, so you leave at 22.15 and catch the
bus virtually outside. Yes you'll get into B'mouth around 23.15, late,
agreed, but I've got home after that time from some of the meetings
both in B'mouth and Dorchester (and that's by car!).
How late would you want to leave any meeting, because that would
determine how far out we can go?

Looking at those times would bother me - not that I have a say any more.

Leaving at 20:15 for an (hour is it?) bus ride. To get back on the bus
at 22:15 having spent an hour at your venue. A travel:relax ration of
2:1 isn't all that great IMHO.

Some people may well disagree though (and I freely admit I haven't
verified the travel times!)

Hi Robert

I think you my have misunderstood the timings?
Starting from B'mouth Square, catch the 7:15pm to arrive at Colehill at 8pm.
Return catch the 10:20pm from Colehill to arrive in the Square B'mouth at 11:03pm. That gives 2hrs at the meeting, an average time, especially taking into account the travel time.

I agree it's a long evening, start to finish, but how long is it worth to meet like minded people, have a drink, sort out problems, socialise and meet new people, put names to faces and hopefully learn something.

Since joining DLUG I've enjoyed the meetings, the people, the help and just talking to 'faces' who have made comments on the list. Not so keen on the flame wars or people winding others up, but that's me.

Thanks for all the enjoyment and I've enjoyed travelling to meets, even in the snow!

Clive

PS Perhaps it's because I'm retired and do not have work pressures!
