It's okay. KDE does that (I assume that's what's being used?) - it
creates a virtual folder with formats analogous to codecs installed.
The files show the approximate size of the output file (it's just a
guess, in the case of lossy, I believe). It's a clever ioslave and
I've used it many times and love it.

Not anymore, it seems. If you have a little £10 player, then maybe,
but Android supports ogg out of the box and can be modified to also
support FLAC.
