Well its been a while since I bought mine, but I bought my X10 Netbook from 
Novatech about 18 months ago.  It's happily run every version of Ubuntu since 
I got it.  They don't sell that one any more, but this seems to be a fairly 
similar spec:

I couldn't find it on the forums there, but you could post a query to find out 
if there are any prblems with Linux.  The forums are quite lively and there is 
a Linux section.

Best of all, they sell nearly all of their computers OS free, so you won't 
have to pay for a crippled version of W7 and then throw it away, like most of 
the competition these days.
