Synopsis
Jon Macey will be talking about Computer Animation and Visual
Effects.
About the speaker
Jon Macey is a senior lecturer in computer animation at the National
Center for Computer Animation, Bournemouth University. He is
programme leader for the MSc Computer Animation and Visual Effects
course as well as leading the BSc Software Development for Games and
Effects course.
Jon started working in electronics and computers as an apprentice at
Winfrith Nuclear power station, after that he studied for a BEng in
Electronic, Music and Media technology at Leeds Metropolitan
University, as well as completing a sandwich year as a software
engineer at AMEK who manufactured some of the first computer
automated audio mixing desks.
