Hi Peter, I did a quick google for 'acsm linux' and the consensus seems to be, sadly, that the ACSM file ( the clue is in the name: Adobe Content Server Manager ) just acts as a download controller for the obtaining of the file by the local Adobe Digital Editions. It seems there's not a way to 'spoof' the Adobe server side that you're not making the download from a certified Adobe Digital Editions copy.
Nearest compromise seems to be using ADE under Wine: http://shallowsky.com/blog/linux/read-adobe-books-on-linux.html , but that's not ideal :( Really, the world needs the ebook equivalent of 'get_iplayer'! victor -- Next meeting: Bournemouth, Tuesday, 2014-11-04 20:00 Meets, Mailing list, IRC, LinkedIn, ... http://dorset.lug.org.uk/ New thread on mailing list: mailto:[email protected] How to Report Bugs Effectively: http://goo.gl/4Xue
