Hi Peter,
Has anyone else noticed that these have increased in price
significantly in the last few months? The 8GB ones that I bought
2/£3.00 in the spring now seem to be about £4 each.
The ones I buy occasionally have dropped in price so I've been going up
in size. I tend to work out the GB/£ on each size and pick from the top
two, e.g. http://amzn.to/2hYx8t4 is 64 GB for £17.89.
I think the smaller ones can get more expensive as demand drops, just as
happened with 5¼ floppies. Presumably, you only need 8GB or similar
because it's for a Pi?
Cheers, Ralph.
Exactly. And from a previous posting, you will remember that I had a
couple of duff ones.
I have my little project working, and I have got a backup on my second
card, but want to continue working on a third card. I believe that you
can take an image up from an SD card for duplicating purposes, but it
did not work on my first try. I tried to download Raspbian onto a 4GB
card that I nicked from my tablet and that failed.
