What's the OS? > Any thoughts Have you tried starting Thunderbird in "safe mode" so extensions are disabled? Google suggests holding down Shift whilst starting it does this. Or, use it as it stands and disable any Add Ons you've installed? It could be something is snaffling the event that should trigger the redraw.
