Nothing. I was only working on the hardware.

No. Once a system has gone into 'production', I don't upgrade it anymore.

I have a backup of both the old SDCard Image and the old mp3 files, but I
haven't really
got time to go round the loop of restoring the old image and USB Stick
contents. (I'm
currently backing up the new SDCard.) As long as it works I'll live with the
puzzle.
However, if anyone can shed any light on this, I'd love to hear from you.
Obviously, if anything else goes wrong, I'll go back to the last known good one
and start
again from there.
