This is probably too simple, but I would have answered '13' because the series
increases in 2s, apart from after 8, when after increasing by 5, it continues
with an increase of 6.

How about 8 should be 9, thus the differences are 2 (2) 4 (2) 6 (3) 9 (4) 13
(6) 19?
