I got it to work after a fashion. I had to edit the KDE Launcher with the --disable-gpu as an argument. This caused it to come up in the bottom-right-hand corner as before, but working. The usual KDE Plasma options to set the size and position of the window are no longer there so I set it to rum maximised.
