Duration: 04/19/2010 - 12/31/2010 Microsoft SQL - Data Management/Warehouse Specialist *PLEASE RESPOND TO **[email protected]* * * *GCs or Citizens only* JOB PURPOSE: - Develop and support Data Warehouse deliverables. - Areas of responsibility focused on OLAP cube development and SQL Server ETL development to support the data warehouse. - Working closely with Product, Marketing, and Accounting, Finance groups to deliver and support individual reporting requirements. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, TASKS: - Gives instruction and guidance on more complex assignment, independently programs segments of complex problems. - Works independently and in teams on development and analytic assignments. - Performs more difficult tasks independently and in teams has some responsibility for the work of others. - Performs some or all of the duties required by a Data Warehouse developer as necessary to complete assignments. - Develop based on the ‘standard development’ document. - Performs necessary investigation, analysis and evaluation to determine project feasibility - Help in developing project costs and benefits estimates to establish project worth. - Develop and / or evaluates previously refined data and programs determine appropriate action. - Prepare charts, tables, and logic diagrams needed in problem analysis. - Participates in certain aspects of user consulting, system analyst, general systems design, vendor contracts and detail system design. - Responsible for complying with policies and standards such as; source code control, change management, and security standards, and portfolio management in accordance with PCI and SOX compliance. - Ensure complete documentation based on our SDLC requirements for assigned tasks with the development area to ensure PCI and SOX compliance. - Provide weekly and monthly reports on project and support status as well as forecast of utilization. - Participate in future Data Management architecture analysis, design requirements, specification etc. - Assist in monitoring and prioritizing daily support tickets within the Data Management Function. - Represent the Data Management group in cross IT project initiatives in the analysis and design phase as requested. - Fulfill department requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation, or education. Respects others viewpoints - Consistently looks at projects and tasks proactively, not reactively - Client focused when approaching problems and project deliverables REQUIRED: KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION Ø Undergraduate degree a must in systems related area Ø Master degree in MIS a plus Ø 4-6 years of SQL Server 2005/8 development including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS Ø 4-6 years dimensional modeling/data warehouse design Ø Experience with Erwin modeling software Ø Experience on Data Warehouse projects.
