Title: J2EE Lead Developer/Architect Location: Downtown Chicago, IL Job# 19791-1 Duration: 12 months J2EE lead developer and architect - Need *extensive framework* experience and great communication skills. The Shared Services team is in need of an experienced J2EE lead developer/architect to assist in the selection, finalization and documentation of frameworks and services utilized by our banking applications. Responsible for the research, selection and packaging of off-the-shelf as well as custom frameworks and services to be utilized across all client facing and internal applications. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS Knowledge of *Java, Weblogic application servers, Oracle database*. Extensive experience with a large variety of frameworks, including *Spring*. Analytical and problem solving skills. The ability to independently think and solve problems with minimal direction and supervision. MAJOR DUTIES • Assist the shared services lead architect with the selection and documentation of framework and services. • Assist application teams with the adoption of frameworks and services. • Communicate status (written and verbal) to project team and management EXPERIENCE • *Minimum 7 years experience developing Java based applications* • Minimum *3-5 years experience of providing technical and architectural leadership* to complex distributed projects. • 3-5 years experience developing *web services* • 3-5 years experience working with relational databases SKILL SET • J2EE, Java (required) • Broad exposure to and experience with frameworks (required) • Weblogic (required) • Oracle PL/SQL (required) • Web Services (SOAP and Restful) (required) • Spring (required) Has experience in multiple system environments. Should also be experienced in designing, developing, and test applications. * Combine multiple technologies to provide alternative physical solutions * Performs analysis of business models, logical specifications and/or user requirements to design solutions. Responsible for the application development as well as the application environment * Understands various types of tools and technologies on the market and their appropriate usage * Responsibilities extend to all components of an application and application environment including front, back, and middle tiers where applicable.
