OK, slightly OT and probably dumb question: As I understand web service just requires some ISAPI extension dll to to host the .Net engine and the assembly. Why is it then not allowed to create a web service on Windows XP Professional? I remember installing VS.net on my machine, and it forewarned that web service could not be developed on this server. Any idea? what choices do i have now given that i do not want to leave XP professional.
