Can I use Access to connect to via the Internet and my host instead of
SQL server
from home using .NET?
>> Yes you can ... use ACCESS MDBs with AD.Net

Is there an upload tool / component? I didn't see one, but only looked
briefly?
>> You gotta check with ur hosting company ... generally it is xcopy
installation ... so it should be easy with .Net ( u don't have to register
dlls etc if u r not using Global Assembly Cache )

Can one use Notepad or something such as that to program .NET pages? I
ask because
although I do have Visual Studio, what if one was using a Mac or
something? Just curious..
.. Sure ... but may be little difficult compared to VS.Net development

Hi Guys..

I'm coming from a Standard ASP world.. I have VI Studio now and
I'm going to be hosting my app at a hosting company that I've used
before
which supports ASP.NET..

I have a couple / few questions..

Can I use Access to connect to via the Internet and my host instead of
SQL server
from home using .NET?

Is there an upload tool / component? I didn't see one, but only looked
briefly?

Can one use Notepad or something such as that to program .NET pages? I
ask because
although I do have Visual Studio, what if one was using a Mac or
something? Just curious..

Thanks
Tim
