I recently wrote a series of blog postings on a High Performance DAL architecture. I used what I think are best practices such as DTOs instead of DataTables, SQLDataReaders using ordinals, avoiding casts to and from Object. I gave detailed architecture and code samples and I would like to hear if there are best practices that I missed. If anyone has comments or alternative favorite architectures please let me know.
