DataReader Object ADO.Net objects are broadly divided into two sections: Connected Objects Disconnected Objects The DataReader is one of the connected objects of ADO.Net... It helps you examine the rows that are fetched by your query, one at a time... It discards every row after you have gone through it and so it is extremely fast... It also contains read-only data, so no updates are allowed using DataReader objects...
