Fragment Caching Fragment caching is a technique to cache only partial part of the ASP.Net page... This technique is used to improve performance of your page, but it needs to be decided at design time... You can achieve Fragment caching by developing a part of your web page as User Control... User Control can then cache itself independent of the page... User Controls provides many more benefits other than Fragment Caching so while going for User Controls there are other factors to be considered too... Vishal Joshi Microsoft MVP .Net If You Think YOU CAN... You Can... http://VishalJoshi.Blogspot.com http://www.microsoft.com/india/mvp/indiamvp.aspx http://groups.msn.com/ChennaiNetUserGroup http://groups.msn.com/CNUG-DAM http://groups.msn.com/NetBloomingtonUserGroup
PS: There is a small little "Token Of Appreciation (TOA)" that I am planning to give to whoever writes a small piece on what he/she feels about Caching in ASP.Net (good, bad, ugly)... So see if you can devote some time of yours in reading about Caching in ASP.Net and then writing what you feel... This exercises which we are doing is not to prove ourselves in front of anyone so you can feel free to be authentic... :-)
