Hello there!

We're now ending our month of communication with articles or posts published in
Chinese, Dutch, Romanian and Russian. Thanks to all the people who got involved
in making DDL more known around the world :).

Although you can keep on trying to advertise about our project, we're going to
go back to artistic/technical tasks for April so that next release can be
tested and documented in May. I recall that the release is planned for late
May. Of course anyone interested in helping the artistic/technical tasks is
welcome, I already had a positive answer from Janneth (development) and Elisa
(website, graphics). Don't hesitate to stop your translations during several
weeks and help us ;).

So you'll find at the bottom of this mail the current list of tasks that I find
interesting for this release. Do not hesitate to suggest additional tasks if
you have any, especially for graphic design. On the other hand in our road map
we have written the following list which is not totally matching with my
current list:

* improve user interfaces of tools for persistence activation and for
submitting a hardware issue
* improve user interface for the DoudouLinux installation tool
* allow updating DoudouLinux without wiping your entire disk
* a tool to set the time of day
* a tool to change the keyboard layout of a previously downloaded ISO image

In my opinion these points are not so urgent now that Gérald has started to
work on porting DDL to the new Debian stable, Squeeze. There are several
advantages to switch to this release and I discovered a new one this week at
work while upgrading workstations: we can have an animated boot splash. So I
prefer focus on accessibility issues and beautifying than on setting tools.

Cheers,
JM.
